AllMerus Energy Ltd. is actively involved with the German solar company Solarion AG (www.solarion.de). As Solarion’s proprietary solar technology is independent of silicon and entirely flexible and light-weight, it has lower production costs than other technologies and is well positioned for use in additional fields to traditional applications such as automotive, architectural integration, aerospace, shipbuilding, textiles etc.

The company exhibits an integrated pilot plant with a roll-to-roll manufacturing process for its solar cells, including a line for module manufacturing.

Solarion is preparing for the construction of the mass production facility which is expected to commence in Q4 2010.

Commercial sales are expected to reach the market in 2011. The company has used the proceeds of its second round fundraising of 2006 to enhance the efficiency of its technology and optimise the commercial scale production process. It has successfully concluded optimising and fine-tuning of its integrated pilot production process to further increase the efficiency to reach the world record efficiency of almost 14% of CIGS flexible thin film cells in 2010.
